  15.                       Faculty Positions in Computer Science

  17. Applications are invited for three faculty positions in computer science at the
  18. full professor, associate professor, and assistant professor levels.  Although
  19. applicants in all areas of computer science will be considered, preference will
  20. be given to candidates whose research is related to the experimental,
  21. application, and system support areas of parallel and distributed computing,
  22. including programming languages, software engineering, artificial intelligence,
  23. distributed databases, and system performance.  Other required and preferred
  24. qualifications are as follows:

  26.     Professor, Associate Professor: Applicants must have a PhD in computer
  27.     science or in a related area and must have a strong research record
  28.     consistent with the level of their appointments, including publications and
  29.     research funding.  Experience in supervision of doctoral students is
  30.     preferred.  Responsibilities include research, teaching, direction of
  31.     graduate students and program development.

  33.     Assistant Professor: Applicants must have a PhD in computer science or in
  34.     a related area and must demonstrate strong potential for excellence in
  35.     research and teaching.  Responsibilities include research, teaching,
  36.     direction of graduate students and program development.

  38. Salaries for all positions are competitive.  Applicants should submit a letter
