- Yes, you need EMX for running Emacs under OS/2. EMX gives you the possibility
- to write programs both working under DOS and OS/2 because it also includes a
- 32Bit DOS Extender. EMX is written by Eberhard Mattes (author of emTeX, IMHO
- the best TeX for PCs) and is free. In addition, it makes it possible to you to
- use GCC and other *nice* (GNU) utilities for OS/2. Therefore you should try to
- get the emxdev.zip package as soon as possible. As far as I know the latest
- version is 0.8e, available from ftp.uni-stutgart.de (in soft/os2/emx).
