  15. I have posted a new version of f2c to hobbes (aka ftp-os2.nmsu.edu)
  16. in directory pub/uploads.

  18. Here is the file f2c.txt, also posted to hobbes:

  20. f2c is a FORTRAN to C converter, available from netlib@research.att.com.
  21.  
  22. f2c has been ported to OS/2 2.0 to provide a route to 32-bit FORTRAN 
  23. programming for those who use the GNU C compiler. The version uploaded
  24. is the latest available from netlib (f2c of 22 July 1992, libraries of
  25. 27 October 1992).

  27. The archive f2cb.zip has libraries for the gcc/2 and emx0.8e versions 
  28. of the GNU compiler.
  29. Users of other compilers will have to compile the f2c libraries, libi77 ad
  30. libf77, with their compilers in order to use f2c. This might entail some
  31. additional modifications to the source code.

  33. The following files have been uploaded:
  34. f2cb.zip     --  OS/2 v2.0 binaries of f2c, with libraries for
  35.                     gcc/2 and emx0.8e
  36. f2cs.zip        --  Patched source code of the above.

  38. These files must be unzipped with Info-Zip's unzip 5.x.

  40. Suggested directory: pub/os2/2.0/programming, to replace version currently
  41.                      there.
