- Fellow netters,
-
- Can anybody shed some light on the following problem?
- I tried once before but got no answer. Perhaps it never made it's
- way to usenet...
-
- What do I have to do to get a pair of MS Windows (3.0/3.1) programs running
- on OS/2 1.x or 2.x presentation manager?
-
- To be more specific, I have a set of programs that use a server that
- runs on a Unix machine. The IPC I use is LanManager named pipes from
- windows to lan mananger on unix. On the PC I have two programs,
- one keeps the connection with the server and accepts requests via
- DDE. The other implements a UI and gets results via DDE from the other
- windows program.
-
- Now I must find out what I have to do let these run on OS/2 machines
- I do not know if I am going to use OS/2 1.x or 2.x.
-
- - Are there tools to help me?
- - Do I have to port or should it run as is with an extra set of dll's?
- - What about the Named Pipe connection?
- - Is the DDE mechanism the same (where are the differences)?
-
- I looked in the faq's but they didn't help me,
- any information is welcome.
-
- Thanks in Advance, Andre van Dalen
