  15. Can anybody shed some light on the following problem?
  16. I tried once before but got no answer. Perhaps it never made it's
  17. way to usenet...

  19. What do I have to do to get a pair of MS Windows (3.0/3.1) programs running
  20. on OS/2 1.x or 2.x presentation manager?

  22. To be more specific, I have a set of programs that use a server that
  23. runs on a Unix machine. The IPC I use is LanManager named pipes from
  24. windows to lan mananger on unix. On the PC I have two programs,
  25. one keeps the connection with the server and accepts requests via
  26. DDE. The other implements a UI and gets results via DDE from the other
  27. windows program.

  29. Now I must find out what I have to do let these run on OS/2 machines
  30. I do not know if I am going to use OS/2 1.x or 2.x.

  32. - Are there tools to help me?
  33. - Do I have to port or should it run as is with an extra set of dll's?
  34. - What about the Named Pipe connection?
  35. - Is the DDE mechanism the same (where are the differences)?
