- I've run into this problem before. It's essentially a hardware conflict.
- I don't know about the other board, but the 3com board needs some help.

- In the Dell setup (cntl-alt-enter does it for my 433d) you probably want to
- disable com 2 (uses irq 3) and you must disable the memory being used by
- the 3com card. You can do this on the second screen of the setup program.
- Set your card for something you can disable in setup and then disable that
- range. Then the diagnostics should work fine.
