  10. For those can take the risk, I have figure out that it is possible to run
  11. LM 2.1a as server under OS2 2.0.

  13. The procedure is as follow :
  14.  
  15. 1. install 2.1a as server(I believe this can only be done on OS2 1.3 as
  16.    2.1a do know it is running under 2.0 and refused to install as server).
  17.  
  18. 2. Detach 2.1a from the OS
  19.  
  20. 3. Upgrade 1.3 to 2.0
  21.  
  22. 4. Install 2.1a workstation on 2.0(under a different directory from the server)
  23.  
  24. 5. Copy NETPROG and SERVICES directory from the 2.0 client directory to 
  25.    the server directory
  26.  
  27. 6. modify the necessary files(config.sys lanman.ini, protocol.ini etc.) if
  28.    needed.
  29.  
  30. 7. There you are up and running.

  32. I don't know what kind of problem there will be but so far, so good.
