  21. in the UK OS/2 is still on "special" offer so it can be bought for
  22. #95 ($146). registered OS/2 users got a "special intro offer" (sic)
  23. on DeScribe a few months back of #399 ($614) with normal proce
  24. being #499 ($768).

  26. i've just bought AMI pro v3. in the UK the cheapest price available
  27. for this seems to be #270 ($415). instead i ordered from one of
  28. the US firms that have a UK toll free number and got it for #170
  29. ($262) - i placed an order at 11pm thursday night with the firm in
  30. california and it was delivered at 9am this morning! - that's a better
  31. response than i've had from uk suppliers. the downside is that i have
  32. a US version so (a) will have to put up with a spell checker that can't
  33. spell :-) and (b) won't get support ... though i think i'm able to
  34. sort things out myself and there's always the net to consult! all
  35. in all, i think i can find better things to do with #100 than give
  36. it to lotus UK.

  38. BTW, just realized, all the prices above need 17.5% VAT adding to them.
