  24. This driver was originally designed to bring com3 support to os2 1.x. You
  25. may not need it in 2.0 (although several of us used it to solve early
  26. problems with OS/2 failing to find the com3 port).

  28. You should not need it to provide buffered support.  The mode command can
  29. handle this. I do not know if com16550 will provide suport in dos-boxes.
