- I have the same setup you do, and this worked for me;
-
- 1. Select "OS/2 System" --> "System Setup" --> "Selective Install"
- --> "Primary Display"
- 2. Proceed with install. When it prompts for diskette 6 or 7, it means
- the GA disks, not the Service Pack ones. (OS/2 is looking for fonts).
- 3. Select the desired resolution when the dialog box comes up.
- 4. Quit the Selective Install when complete, but do not shut down.
- 5. Get a full-screen DOS session, and type SVGA OFF (safety precaution)
- 6. Use VMODE to select the proper monitor (VMODE MONITOR) and resolution
- (e.g., VMODE 38). Run the VESA extensions, if you like (VMODE VESA).
- 7. Run SVGA ON.
- 8. Shut down and reboot.
-
- Note that you need the VMODE instructions in an AUTOEXEC.BAT for full-screen
- WIN-OS2 sessions, or else the monitor will lose sync for the session.
-
- Hope this helps.
