  19. Working as designed.  OS/2's BACKUP has to cope with extended
  20. attributes and long filenames, something DOS's BACKUP/RESTORE cannot
  21. deal with.  Hence, when you use BACKUP in an OS/2 session you will not
  22. be creating a DOS RESTORE compatible backup set.

  24. As you discovered, running BACKUP in a DOS session gets around the
  25. "problem," but then, of course, you can't backup long filenames and
  26. extended attributes.

  32. That's correct.  This was never a standard VGA mode, and OS/2 doesn't
  33. know how to virtualize it (yet).  You may see some activity in this
  34. area, however.
