- As far as I know, OS/2's SET and PATH lines are set in CONFIG.SYS, and
- there is no practical limit to their sizes.

- For DOS sessions, you can increase the environment space using the /E
- parameter added to the SHELL line in CONFIG.SYS or in the DOS_SHELL
- variable in the settings for that session. See the online Command
- Reference (under "COMMAND") for details.

- Note that PATH is limited to 127 characters under DOS, and that limit
- is difficult to work around. The method you suggest is a possible approach.
