- I've been having this problem with os/2 ever since I had it. Lately it has
- gotten much worse so I've decided to ask for help.
-
- Basically, whenever I switch from a dos session to the wps, the screen will
- start to redraw itself but then stop midway. Usually the top of the screen
- will remain undrawn. At this point the mouse works, downloads continue,
- but I can't do anything. Ctrl-ESC and Alt-ESC flush some buffers but thats
- about it.
-
- Two days ago, I had a pretty bad crash with the system just rebooting on me.
- I then had to do a CTRL-ALT-F1 to rebuild my desktop. Since then I have had
- the screen lockup about once every hour. NO FUN.
-
- Now the system had been working pretty well for the last couple of months.
- I suspect the problem may lie in my SVGA driver. (Its the one I got from
- cardinal technologies and is the converted 1.3 version.) I am using
- 1024x768 @ 256 colors. Chkdsk reveals nothing on any of my drives.
-
- Any suggestions?
