- The neverending modem saga under OS/2 continues! I am running
- a modem with a 16450 (v.32 bis) under OS/2. I was using TE/2 tonite
- and something happended which may give us some insight into my
- probelm. Modem on Com 3. Set the mode using the "mode" command, I
- think I have the syntax right. loaded TE/2, started a session. Modem
- dials OK. Everything is fine. Great. Start donwloading a file.
- Everthing great. Swap out. Something funny happens. OS/2 seems not
- to respond, but I realized that it is actually running VERY slowly.
- Can't quickly access anything. Go back into TE/2. Try to abort
- transfer but don't know how. Wait. TE/2 finally wakes up an realizes
- it has no file. Te/2 froze on the exact block as when I switched out,
- and then went haywire. Seems it froze the system. SO what is it,
- folks-- interrupt conflict? I've had no other problems, and so long
- as I stay WITH the session, things are OK.
-
- This is frustrating for me because I was able to BG transfer
- with Procomm + for Windoze perfectly well! What's my problem now?
- Strange strange strange and very annoying.
