  12. This problem is to do with VDMs only.. It means that if you attempt to open
  13. a file whose full name including path is greater than 32 bytes then 'DOS'
  14. incorrectly reports that the file couldn't be opened.

  16. Multi Edit 6.1 is one such app which suffers from this. There are rumours that
  17. this may be based to the RTL of the language that the app was written in but
  18. I'm not certain of this.

  20. We got around our problem with multi edit by simply accessing it via a false
  21. root on our server therefore dropping the filename to less than 32 chars.
