- Hi folks,
-
- I've just received the Dec 8 issue of PC Mag and I was surprised
- to see on page 259 a new board claiming 40.5million winmarks.
- Nope...it can't be a typo...they mention "40.5" in the ad twice.
- The board seems to support the same high resolutions the ATI Pro
- supports plus it seems to cost less than the ATI. Looks like a
- fantastic alternative to the ATI Pro assuming this board has
- OS/2 drivers. Anyone have any extra information on drivers on
- this board?
-
- So far from what I can gather from the ad, these are some of the
- supported resolutions:
- 1280x1024x256; 1152x870x65536; 800x600x16.8mil
- Also 40.5 win marks on 486/ISA at 1024x768x72hz
- Its an S3 (86C928) board.....starting at $495 list.
-
- 40.5mil WOW!
