  11. I was pretty pleased to receive the latest Hardcard driver a couple of 
  12. months ago, and merrily set to filling it up, with the swapfile amongst 
  13. other things.

  15. After installing the service pack, the Hardcard does something seriously 
  16. upsetting to OS/2 - which works fine with or without the most recent driver. 
  17. When the driver is loaded but the Hardcard is not installed, the driver 
  18. realizes, explains, and prompts me to carry on. All well and good.
  19.  
  20. But when I install the Hardcard, _whether or not I use the driver_, OS/2 
  21. bombs out in a big way with "cannot find C:\OS2\COUNTRY.SYS"!
  22.  
  23. I've tried again and again, and I've tried the INT13 driver, apparently 
  24. without effect. 
  25.  
  26. Any suggestions as to what to try next?

  29. Hawk (clone) 486SX-33
  30. MR BIOS
  31. 6Mb RAM (but the m/b only sees 4 :-()
  32. Seagate ST3144 (130Mb IDE)
  33. generic I/O
  34. Logitech bus mouse
  35. Trident TR8900C 1Mb
  36. NEC 1.4Mb floppy
  37. Plus Hardcard 80 II (sometimes :-()
  38. OS/2 2.0 GA (kernel and VBIOS fixes)+SP
  39. Trident 800*600*256 virtual desktop driver
  40. Deskpic (hey! the aquarium works!)
  41. Pulse
  42. etc etc etc...
