  11. The NEC CDR-37 CDROM player can be used with an Adaptec 1542B (despite
  12. what NEC Tech Support will tell you, which is that it isn't on their
  13. compatability list). Once I set the "SCSI Parity disable" jumper on the
  14. Adaptec 1542B, it was able to recognize and control the CDR-37.

  16. Just thought I'd save someone else some frustation by posting this tidbit.

  18. Now, if only I knew what the side-effects of having SCSI parity disabled
  19. will be if I add a SCSI device which actually uses parity...
