  20. As I wrote in a previous post, there is a bug in the svga.exe program
  21. provided by IBM. It does not properly detect certain video cards (my
  22. experince is with the Diamond Speed Star ET4000 card) and the pmi file
  23. it creates does not permit OS/2 to run in any resolution higher than
  24. 640x480.

  26. The solution is to boot up to REAL DOS and run svga.exe there. The PMI
  27. file thus created will be correct and must be used in place of the one
  28. created by svga.exe under an OS/2 DOS session.
