- Hello world, I just bought a Diamond Speedstar 24x a few days ago and I cannot
- get it to work with OS/2. It worked fine when I booted to DOS, but when I try
- to boot OS/2... The system boots and my windows appear. I can usually move a
- window or something before the system crashes. When it crashes I either get an
- IPE or system lockup with garble on the screen where something was supposed to
- appear... I can run at least a few programs, but, for example, if I run the
- terminal program that came with OS/2, it loads, but either selecting the Change
- item in the menu or trying to connect crashes the system... If I run galleria
- (image editor) I can usually get it to start and open small bitmaps. But, if I
- try to load anything larger than the screen area... CRASH. I got this card
- hoping to solve my problems with my old OAK card... but it has only caused
- many more. I have not yet installed the CSD, but I don't think the system
- will make it through the CSD instalation process without crashing...
- HELP!!!!!! HELP!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!

- Well it worked with DOS, and it doesn't with OS2... Must be
- the OS... The fact that the BIOS was HARDWIRED incorrectly couldn't
- have anything to do with it, Right? -----Roland of Gilead----- }
