- I've tried switching COM1 and COM2 and the problem persists. I have
- tried another internal modem and I still have the same problem. I
- disabled all the serial ports on the IDE card and installed a
- serial/parallel card to hook the mouse too - doesnt help. Out of
- curiosity I (heaven forbid) reloaded Windoze 3.0. Running the windows
- TERMINAL.EXE program under Win3.0 and DOS 5.0, I am able to upload
- without any performance hit (this is at 2400 baud). This really makes
- me think the problem is OS/2 related, since I would imagine
- conflicting interrupts would cause problems under Windose. Perhaps OS/2
- and my motherboard don't mix too well. I'm going to try a different IDE
- controller next (its the only thing I havent swapped out).
