- I've been using os/2 for many months now and have had to reinstall it countless
- times. Lately, I've noticed to my surprise that after I install the 2.0 GA
- release (original release) from my 5 1/4's disks, that as soon as I finish the
- install and do a chkdsk from any location in the system, it reports that the
- HPFS has numberous errors in it. How is this possible as I just installed a
- virgin system. I have done this repeatedly after each installation and found
- HFPS error in each one. At one point os/2 did work perfectly for me, since the
- disk errors, it has never been the same (crashes etc.). I have reformatted the
- entire drive as FAT and cheched the drive with NORTON NDD and verified that the
- problem lies with either HPFS or the installation. What gives? Has anyone run
- into this? I've even booted from the installation disks and used chkdsk from
- there and it cant fix the problems... HELP!
