  27. Your article didn't mention the type of the partion(s) you created.
  28. If you created a HPFS partition, then no, "real" DOS booted from a
  29. floppy won't recognize it; the disk's partition table will contain 
  30. info to the effect that, "DOS, you don't do this kind of disk..."

  32. To illustrate, I have a single 240mb IDE drive with three partitions:
  33. c: hpfs
  34. d: hpfs
  35. e: fat
  36.  
  37. When I boot DOS off a floppy, DOS sees only E: and of course names
  38. it C:.  I believe this behavior is documented.

  40. As for being able to remove OS/2, a simple FDISK and (DOS) format
  41. does that just fine.
