  12. In a recent posting, I commented that when I began using Deskpic, my
  13. os2sys.ini file began growing at the rate of 1MB a day. When I caught
  14. it, it had reached 11MB. I asked whether other users could confirm this
  15. behavior.

  17. Users of Deskpic, Window Washer, and Scrutil have written that they have
  18. been using these programs for months with no explosive growth in the
  19. size of their os2sys.ini files (no reports one way or the other from
  20. Yowza users). Two explanations:

  22. 1) Deskpic had nothing to do with the peculiar behavior in my system.
  23. That this behavior coincided with my introducing Deskpic was
  24. coincidental.
  25.  
  26. 2) I had a fair amount of trouble configuring Deskpic and I may have
  27. done something inappropriate that caused it to misbehave.
  28.  
  29. Any advice on which of the preceding seems most likely (and on
  30. alternative explanations) would be welcome.
