-
- The latest version is service level XR-6055. It should be available
- via anonymous ftp to software.watson.ibm.com or to ftp-os2.nmsu.edu.
- it consists of a disk-maker (loaddf.zip) and fourteen data files that
- produce the fourteen 1.44MB disks (spg301 - spg314). If you use 5.25"
- disks, there are an additional sixteen data files for producing the
- sixteen 1.2MB disks (spg501 - spg516). The files on
- software.watson.ibm.com are uncompressed and have a .dsk extension.
- The files on ftp-os2.nmsu.edu have all been compressed with Info-Zip's
- ZIP-1.9 program (use Unzip 5.0 to decompress) and bear a .zip
- extension.
-
- Download the 14 or 16 data files, which are the disk images (whatever
- your A: drive is). Uncompress them (if necessary). Uncompress
- loaddf.zip to get loaddskf.exe. Use loaddskf.exe to produce the disks
- from the image files. For instructions on how to use loaddskf.exe,
- run it with no parameters; you will be given instructions.
-
- When you have made the disks, insert the first disk (the one you made
- from spg[35]01.dsk) and print the README file. This will tell you
- what you should and should not do to install the service pack. It
- contains information that will keep you from ruining your system with
- an improper installation.
