- Give OZCIS a try (it's a freebie!). It's a DOS application, but I've had no problems with it
- under 2.0. It is located in the IBMCOMM forum, library 12 (I recall).

- I don't believe CIS supports compressing of conferences like the BBS systems do, but
- most of the CIS front-end programs (OZCIS, TAPCIS,...) do provide multiple passes. The
- first pass just downloads the message headers, then you mark the ones you want
- offline, then the program retrieves the marked messages for you to read and reply
- offline.
