- I have a 33mhz486 with 16 megs memory and a Speedstar24. I have
- DesqView/X, and PC-Xview 2.4. In 1024x768x256 color mode on
- the above, and on OS/2 with the CSD and all the latest patches
- for tcp/ip and X, I find OS/2 to be about twice as fast as the others.
- Scrolling text and using XV to display bitmaps are especially quick.
- This is with a 16 bit SMC card on OS/2 and a sysvr4 system also
- with a smc card. OS/2 X is my X server of choice at the moment
- for a pc.
