  16.     I have a 33mhz486 with 16 megs memory and a Speedstar24.  I have
  17.     DesqView/X, and PC-Xview 2.4.  In 1024x768x256 color mode on 
  18.     the above, and on OS/2 with the CSD and all the latest patches
  19.     for tcp/ip and X, I find OS/2 to be about twice as fast as the others.
  20.     Scrolling text and using XV to display bitmaps are especially quick.
  21.     This is with a 16 bit SMC card on OS/2 and a sysvr4 system also
  22.     with a smc card.  OS/2 X is my X server of choice at the moment
  23.     for a pc.
