  26. I've found a nice "kludge" to view Targa's and to greatly reduce their
  27. size while producing a better image than cshow.  Using the JPEG 3
  28. compression program:
  29. cjpeg -Q 85 -o targa.tga jpeg.jpg
  30. djpeg -G jpeg.jpg gif.gif
  31. This produces a 256 color .GIF file and a small 24 bit JPEG file....
  32. The .GIF views MUCH better than the Targa.
  33. This uses all free, easy to use software...
