  11. I've been running Windows on a Novell LAN for nearly a year now.  It's
  12. not been without it's share of headaches, but everything's been running
  13. fairly smoothly until yesterday.

  15. When in a DOS session, be it at the command line or in a batch file,
  16. if something is piped to NUL ( i.e. dir >NUL ) i get a "sharing violation
  17. reading drive c - Abort, retry, fail" error.  I get this at the command
  18. line and in my batch files.

  20. Testing has found that if the SHARE program is removed from the AUTOEXEC,
  21. this problem will dissappear, but I am hesitant to remove it from all 60 of
  22. my machines.

  24. The funny thing, and I don't have the slightest idea if this is related,
  25. is that this problem happened the day after our data processing department
  26. upgraded the cards in our network hub.  Can this possibly be the problem?
