  19. I have a tool for such problems called READBOOT.EXE. READBOOT.EXE is available
  20. on SIMTEL20 in PD:<MSDOS.DSKUTL>FDFORM18.ZIP (or from one of SIMTEL20 mirrors).
  21. To fix the problem do the following.

  23. 1) Unpack READBOOT.EXE from FDFORM18.ZIP and put it on FAT partition
  24. 2) Boot from MS-DOS Boot-Disk
  25. 3) Type: READBOOT C: C:\BOOTSECT.NT
  26. 4) Type: READBOOT A: C:\BOOTSECT.DOS
  27. 5) Type: READBOOT C:\BOOTSECT.DOS C:
  28. 6) Type: READBOOT C: C:\BOOTSECT.DOS
  29. 7) Type: READBOOT C:\BOOTSECT.NT C:
  30.  
  31. This will allow you to Flexboot again. This several copying is necessary
  32. to ensure, that the BOOTSECT.DOS file you took from your floppy, will
  33. have the correct entries for Number of sectors, Number of sectors per track,
  34. etc.
