  14. Installation of Windows NT on my machine was not successful until
  15. I upgraded the BIOS and firmware EPROMS on my Adaptec 1542B from
  16. version 3.08 to 3.20. When that was done it worked great!

  18. So if anyone is having installation problems using a 154x, I
  19. strongly suggest checking the BIOS version which is displayed
  20. at boot. If you decide to update but are not sure how to get
  21. it done, send me mail. I have been down that path and can
  22. provide some guidance and/or service.
