- I must sa, after all the talk of Inside Windows NT, I am not at all
- impressed. What I mean is that, I was led to believe that this could be
- a type of book that would be useful to a developer. While it does address
- some things like irql's, it doesn't go into enough detail to be really
- useful. Too much of this book is dedicated to talking about threads and
- objects, something every programmer should know quite well by now...
-
- Overall, this book can be viewed as a documentary of the creation/design
- of Windows NT rather than any kind of technical book. Most of the book
- is written in an "overview" mode...gee, just what I want....
-
- If I were writing for a magazine, or teaching a course on operating
- system types, this would be good reading, as one can figure out how it
- works differently from unix, Macs,... but right now it sits by my
- book on Ford's revival in the '80's and Iaccoca's book. It has good
- company......

- My recommendations:
- SKIM THIS BOOK IN A STORE BEFORE YOU BUY IT!!!!!
- (I ordered it- not a good idea, unless you've seen it first)
