  14. I have had similar problems.  I'm not sure of the trap number but I get a
  15. page fault.  Here is what I have observed:

  17. Machine configuration - Micronics 386-33 w/12MB RAM
  18.                         Future Domain TMC-1660 SCSI controller
  19.                         NEC CDR-84 CD ROM drive
  20.  
  21. If I bring the system up from power-off or reset the system for a cold-start,
  22. I can install the system without any problem.
  23.  
  24. If I reboot the system from DOS (CTRL-ALT-DEL) and try to install, I can get
  25. to the installation stage where it is searching for SCSI.  In the search for
  26. SCSI controllers, the FD-TMC 1660 is listed as found, but the system gives
  27. a PAGE FAULT after searching for 3rd part controllers.  This could be a result
  28. of searching for a 3rd party controller, but I think that it has made some
  29. stupid assumption about the FD controller and it blows up when it goes to the
  30. beginning of the next installation phase. (It starts playing around with your
  31. disks).  Evidently, it is not doing some initialization to the FD controller.

  33. To make this long explanation short, reset your computer or start from power
  34. off when you boot the NT floppy.  Hope that it works for you.
