- | There is only one Borland IDE (BC.EXE), and it works for both
- | DOS and Windows apps. Also bundled with BC is Turbo C++ for
- | Windows(TCW.EXE), a windows-based IDE complete with menus and
- | icons. What's the difference ? Beats me. Everything I've tried
- | that works under BC.EXE compiles beautifully under TCW.EXE as
- | well.
-
- With version 3.1 you get BC.EXE and BCW.EXE, both full blown Borland
- (read professional version) IDE's. BC is DOS hosted and BCW is Windows
- hosted. Very very nice. TCW no longer comes bundled with the package
- as it's not really needed.
-
- TCW is still available separately and the differences are mostly in
- options and optimization. BCW does a much better job (so says
- Borland.)
