  12. Hi there.Does anybody have any comments on the speed of Visual Basic 
  13. version 1.0 or 2.0 ?  Are the programs compiled by Visual Basic much 
  14. slower than the FORTRAN or C programs?

  16. I am trying to write a program using Visual Basic to do some serious 
  17. number crunching,e.g. sigular value decomposition of a large matrix.
  18. The memory problem can be partially solved using the Windows enviroment
  19. but the speed right now is the major concern.

  21. If somebody has some experience with this problem,can you drop me a line?
  22. By the way,can the Dynamic Link Library files created using FORTRAN or
  23. C compilers increase the speed?
