- I am in the process of reading Petzold's book. The chapter on memory
- management seems a curious mixture of real mode discussion and protected
- mode discussion. In particular, there are some rules regarding use of the
- medium model (such as, don't store far pointers to data); these
- rules seem to apply to real mode only, but the book does not say so.

- Can anyone enlighten me as to these medium model restrictions?
