  14. I am in the process of reading Petzold's book.  The chapter on memory
  15. management seems a curious mixture of real mode discussion and protected
  16. mode discussion.  In particular, there are some rules regarding use of the
  17. medium model (such as, don't store far pointers to data); these
  18. rules seem to apply to real mode only, but the book does not say so.
  19.  
  20. Can anyone enlighten me as to these medium model restrictions?
