  12. I am working on a graphics package (running under non-Windows) and
  13. would like to make use of Windows font libraries since there are
  14. so many of them and they are easy to obtain in computer
  15. software stores.

  17. The problem comes in as to were to find out information on
  18. the file formats of these font libraries.  Ultimately,
  19. what I would like to do is come up with a method that
  20. would allow end users of this package to go out and
  21. buy their own scalable font packages or create them themselves
  22. and include them into their programs.  This package
  23. would run on a 386 system but not running DOS (it is an
  24. embedded system and the fonts would become part of the system).
