- I realise that this is becoming somewhat of a FAQ but I think it would be useful
- for all to know that current availability of socket libraries and development
- environments for Windows, both commercial and public domain (if any).

- Also, is the winsock API actually implemented by anybody ? Is it designed to
- force socket library developers to provide a consistent set of socket semantics
- for applications or is it simply a statement by Microsoft of a forthcoming
- product ?
