  12. I realise that this is becoming somewhat of a FAQ but I think it would be useful
  13. for all to know that current availability of socket libraries and development
  14. environments for Windows, both commercial and public domain (if any).

  16. Also, is the winsock API actually implemented by anybody ? Is it designed to
  17. force socket library developers to provide a consistent set of socket semantics
  18. for applications or is it simply a statement by Microsoft of a forthcoming
  19. product ?
