- I'm not sure if anyone here will be able to help me this, but from
- time to time, I have to do quite a few DISKCOPY's due in part to my really
- wierd backup procedure (but that's not important right now). I usually just
- use the plain old standard DISKCOPY command from the dos prompt, but I only
- have one of each drive type so I wind up switching disks alot. I can't speak
- for everyone here, but I really hate switching disks. Anyway, I am curious if
- there is a patch that I could write to DISKCOPY or if there is a third party
- program that performs the same function that would utilize the 8 megs of ram
- in my system and get me out of that disk switching rut. I called the goofs
- at the Microsoft customer support center (customer annoyance center would be
- more like it) and they said that they had never looked into making DISKCOPY
- break the first 640k. I realize that DOS is *only* ten years old and that we
- never really needed more that 640k before Windows, but I can't be the only one
- that's ever been really hacked off about this. Thanks in advance for any help
- on this...
-
- Oh, and while I'm complaining and I have your attention, why does the
- copy command still say such things like "1 File(s) Copied"? You'd think they
- could have at least corrected this tragic grammer problem sometime in the last
- decade...
