- Hallo netters,
-
- I have three questions regarding programming my video card:
-
- 1) Is there a standard way to detect if the graphics card used in a system
- can work in SVGA mode?
- 2) For my application, i need the 800x600x256 SVGA mode.
- Switching to SVGA mode 800x600x256, is this the same for all video cards
- (Trident, Tseng, ATi) or do i need special code for each of them? If there
- is a difference, please give me information on how to set this mode.
- (I have an ATi-Wonder XL card my self)
- 3) I know that a have to use bank switching to fill the video memory.
- What register addresses are used for this on an ATi-Wonder card?
-
-
- Thanks in advance,
- Henk Kotmans
