- I'm trying to use Borland's font editor for bgi fonts (FE) to modify a
- few characters in an existing font. The characters that I'm changing
- don't go above the cap height line or below the descender line. For
- some reason the cap height is getting changed, which causes the font
- to display improperly.
-
- According to the FE documentation, the way cap height is determined is
- by looking at the character 'E'. I haven't modified this character.
- Before my changes, the cap height was 7. If I define one character
- that goes from the cap line down to the descender line, the cap height
- becomes 9. As I mentioned earlier, the font displays improperly --
- all the descenders are cut off.
-
- Does anyone have an idea as to what's causing this? I've tried
- re-setting the baseline, but it makes no difference.
-
- Thanks in advance for your help,
-
- Phil
