  19. running in english mode (chev us), dosv is for all practical
  20. purposes msdos 5.0.  running in japanese mode, you must not do
  21. hardware video writes.  the basic documentation is piss poor.
  22. even if you can read japanese, it won't help you.  if you have
  23. the programmers manuals, try finding a japanese native on campus,
  24. preferably someone in computer science.  i read japanese and may
  25. be able to answers ~limited~ questions.
