  13.         MY WINDOWS DOES NOT FIND MY MOUSE!

  15.         OK, I know running Windows software doesn't make much
  16.         sense if one has 12KHz AT with 1meg of RAM... However,
  17.         I do need to run some programs every now and then.

  19.         I used to have my serial mouse in com-port 1, but it had
  20.         to be moved to com-port 3 as I added some new devices
  21.         which _need_ to be in ports 1 and 2 ( they don't "know"
  22.         any other ).

  24.         Then I re-install Windows, both from the very beginning
  25.         and with saved configuration - but no mice anywhere! Back
  26.         to ms-dos, and the mouse is present and ready to go.

  28.         My com-ports are:

  30.         COM 1 address 3F8, irq 4   an extra printer, has to be in
  31.                                    com 1 or 2
  32.         COM 2         2F8  irq 3   modem, must be in com 1 or 2
  33.         COM 3         3E8  irq 4   mouse
  34.         COM 4         2E8  irq 3   ham radio packet modem
  35.  
  36.         Printer and modem are so oldfashioned they must be in ports
  37.         1 and 2, but howcome Windows cannot find mice in 3 or 4?
  38.  
  39.         Any suggestions what to do to modify windows.ini and system.ini,
  40.         or whatever is needed.
