- I'm trying to install a Microscience 1090 disk on my 386 with AMI bios.
- The problem is that the disk has 1300+ cylinders. Disk type 47 in the bios
- seems to work ok, it even lowlevelformats all cylinders.
-
- But both Fdisk and Format refuse to give me more than 1024 cylinders
- (60 Mb instead of 76 something). Is Dos5 really limited to 1024 cyls. or
- am I missing something. Pctools SI program reports 1024 cylinders on
- Physical Details. I have also tried using Drivparm to no avail.
-
- Can anyone clarify please.
