- OSF/1 is an operating system that is implemented on top of Mach, either
- with an intergrated kernel (procedure calls) or micro kernel (message
- passing). The kernel used is Mach (2.5 is proc, 3.0 is ipc).
- In particular the OSF organization created the OSF/1 operating system; a
- very robust operating system with unix type interface. I think
- the current OSF/1 os (which comes with their mach enhancements) is 4.0.
