  13. You've not got your modem on COM3 and mouse on COM1 do you ?

  15. IRQ conflicts tend to happen if this is the case....
  16. You can usually change a jumper or two to change COM3's IRQ to 5 and it 
  17. should be fine
  18. (if nothing else is on IRQ5 ...)
