- FYI
-
- SHELL-INIT error.
-
- I posted a problem earlier about getting a "SHELL-INIT " error
- with the SLS version 0.98.
-
- I was told by several people to try issuing a "chmod 755 /" as user
- root, but this would not work.
-
- Turns out that the direcory called "ROOT" on disk A2 has the wrong
- protections.
-
- When I did a chmod 755 /root on the a2 disk before the installation,
- the SHELL-INIT error went away.
-
- So, SLS users may want to do this chmod 755 /root before doing
- the "doinstall /dev/???" command.
