  14. I posted a problem earlier about getting a "SHELL-INIT " error 
  15. with the SLS version 0.98.
  16.  
  17. I was told by several people to try issuing a "chmod 755 /" as user
  18. root, but this would not work.
  19.  
  20. Turns out that the direcory called "ROOT"  on disk A2 has the wrong
  21. protections.  
  22.  
  23. When I did a chmod 755 /root on the a2 disk before the installation,
  24. the SHELL-INIT error went away.
  25.  
  26. So, SLS users may want to do this chmod 755 /root before doing
  27. the "doinstall /dev/???" command.
