  12.     I'm having problems uncompressing some files from tsx-11.  For
  13. instance, pub/linux/sources/sbin/ps-0.97.tar.Z refuses to work.  If I try tar
  14. with -z -x,  I get:
  15. tar: skipping to next file header.
  16. tar: child died with signal 11 (core dumped)
  17.  
  18.     It does create the appropriate subdir, and 1 file, but the file is
  19. about 10 lines of code followed by a few pages of garbage.
  20.  
  21.     If I simply try to uncompress it, uncompress complains about a
  22. segmentation fault, and I get a very small file created, and a core dump.
  23.  
  24.     Is this something I'm doing?  or is there something wrong with this
  25. file?
