  39. I got smail3.1.28 to compile by editting conf/lib/mkdepend.sh
  40. I changed X_CC_X to gcc and it ran make depend ,make  just fine
  41. all I have to do now is read all the man pages till I find out
  42. how to make it queue mail for delivery by smtp over a slip line
  43. or ppp which ever we get first ,till then it all goes from dos
