  13. I don't think this is a FAQ so I'll be brave:

  15. Does anyone know how to redirect the output of GCC?
  16. gcc ....  > outfile 
  17. doesn't work for me...  it just gets overridden and
  18. output goes to the screen.  I figure this is
  19. because gcc outputs to stderr.  I know there is 
  20. some kind of shell command to make this work but
  21. I can't remember it.  Any clues are appreciated.
