- Hello all. I would just like to jump into this thread to say that I agree
- completely that we need a good word processor. Once we have this, Linux will
- be a practical system for a variety of people.
- I have a suggestion. Why don't we use doc. Doc is a WYSIWYG document
- editor. It comes as part of InterViews. I have been trying to fix some bugs
- in it for quite a while, but an older version is available at tsx-11 and
- sunsite.
- InterViews is avail from interviews.stanford.edu /pub
- and sgi.com /pub/graphics
-
- and the old doc is called IVdoc301.TZ in /binaries/usr.bin.X11 on tsx.
- If there is any interest please post to the INTERVIEWS mailing channel.
-
- BTW InterViews is a object oriented (C++) environment for X windows that
- supports a variety of kits like Motif, and Open-look. It has a few
- applications that come with it as examples of its capabilities. Doc is one
- such package. There is also idraw (graphics) and ibuild (X app builder).

- Michael.
